First National Bank (FNB) officially launched its third artificial football pitch to the community of Thohoyandou in South Africas Limpopo province on Sunday, 4th October 2009. The FNB Makwarela Stadium is part of FNBs artificial pitch initiative which seeks to leave a lasting legacy of sporting infrastructure after the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Shine 2010 chatted to Elizabeth Maepa, CEO of FNB Public Sector Banking and newly elected SAFA president Kirsten Nematandani to discuss how this project will benefit the community of Thohoyandou.
