Pit fiends were the name given to them in the book. I guess it fits in with the setting of the book.

Pit fiend. What a lousy name to a cool enemy. Why not something else like Terror Lizard?
I also preferred to take these guys out from distance most of the time when playing this back in the old days.

I played that game when I was 5...if they only remake that game with better graphics,camera,effects etc...
that could be the most brutal game...because of traps and other things...
