  • again, real good stuff.

I like the fact that AMA (which surprisingly compromises only %20 of all physicians) supports the 'disease model' for monetary gains-multi billion dollar recovery industry. Plus if AMA supports this Obama healthcare legislation then I want nothing to do with the AMA.

  • Thankyou!

  • @anonymousgailbrown After many years of sobriety, last year was a nightmare of constant slips. The only thing that turned me around at the beginning of this year (2012) was when I was able to tell myself that I would not drink under any circumstance. My problem was that I had lost my resolve to stay sober. Needless to say, every meeting I've gone to constantly fed on selfdoubt and the need for outside help. Meetings just don't do much for me and God talk just confuses me.

  • @AzoreanProud cont... 2nd post: & the indoctrination of NA makes controlling residents easier (guilt & honesty)as a code at NA is u must b "Open, honest & willing" -so I was often accused of not being open or willing;my answers: "I'm being honest about myself; One can b so open that one's brain falls out; I am getting off substances- I didn't want to adopt a new belief; Where does it say ‘leave ur brain at the door b4 entry?’ "

  • @AzoreanProud Yes, it's a GREAT BIG LIE, PERPETUATED FOR APPROX 66 YEARS. Govts & funding bodies love it though: self help=help urself=free "treatment." Look at my MANY posts: I deprogrammed myself & spoke my OWN TRUTHS. It's a CULT by definition: its own code, rules, language, secrecy & no accountability. NA based treatment centres make big $ as the foundation of the "treatment" is sending residents to 1 or 2 meetings a day... cont... (1st post)

  • @prschuster ..cont...During my 1st NA rehab I was informed "if u don’t get god in ur life u'll never get recovery." How cruel,nasty & disrespectful. It was like being told "If u don't float upwards u'll b ill 4 eva."Look up & c my posts: I'm a deprogrammed NA member & it’s responsible 2 share my experiences/research.The 12 step cult/s r dis-empowering,& lies have been invented.I've done my research:I MUST share.The steps R religious, & always STRONGLY denied.No members research:history of AA.

  • @prschuster Exactly. Bill W invented a "disease." The lasting results r that personal responsibility is rejected: "I was BORN with the DISEASE of ADDICTION: I COULDN'T HELP IT!" My personal experiences as an atheist was distressing. I've always been discriminated against 4 my atheism, but the WORST place of all 2 disrespect my beliefs (atheists do have 'em) was at NA/AA.

  • @anonymousgailbrown cont... My desperation was such that despite my NA dislike, I went there. For 8 months I was the ONLY person 2 NOT identify as an Addict,2 not say god if asked 2 lead the serenity prayer.2 b honest about my beliefs, didn’t get a sponsor, never counted days, & when asked to identify said "clean 2day." I was 1 of the most honest people there.I didn't pretend to be spiritual like did I over a decade b4. I was an adult, with my own mind. I didn't leave my brain at the door.

  • @redeyejedi99 PLEASE READ MY POSTS:There really is life after NA/AA. (But they don't want u 2 know that. They want 2 keep u in their cult for LIFE). I left years ago, but needed to go back to rehab 5 years ago. The 1st rehab to take me was an NA run organisation, by NA members with 20-35 years up. Which means they stopped using only a couple of years of addiction. (Woosy!!! Lame!!... Joking. But seriously: talk about needing acceptance by a group!!)

  • @redeyejedi99 Hello, my comments are late but better than never. I've had many years experience with NA. Go UP & read all my (many, yes its true!) comments about living as a de-programmed NA cult member. U've been lied 2: right from the very start. Bill W LIED. And GOD: that means a Christian god. NA will tell u otherwise.Ur whole life as a free person is waiting. Ur NA friends will accept u leaving if they're real friends, u will find tho, if u think 4 urself & leave, u'll b REJECTED.

  • @anonymousgailbrown Ur not alone, not anymore.Ur not crazy 4 questioning the cult u got sucked in2.It’s a gift of our species 2 question,2 seek new information & learn answers 2 mysteries of the past:by science, testing & seeking out the new. We would still think the earth flat,& never build spaceships to the moon without that natural urge 2 question. We r evolving & growing.Despite ur cult directing "ur powerless over everything" I'm tell u ur NOT. B free.I believe in the real U.Love at ya!

  • @anonymousgailbrown PS:I suspect that Anonymous may at some stage aim a message/Operation at AA/NA etc. Anons don’t like the masses 2 b controlled via a lie. The disease CONCEPT is a lie made up in 1 man's alcohol soaked brain. Liberate urself from addiction & all social controls. JOIN THE MOVEMENT. UR NEEDED MORE THERE,NOT MEETINGS THAT TELL U UR POWERLESS. Ur NOT powerless.& together we are POWERFUL.Govts LOVE AA/NA: they don't fund them, & members accept without question.
