Result MaKhaPuja : Offereing the light means you're offering the eyes.

Lighting the lantern to pay homage tothe Buddha has many (results). Such as a heavenly home, heavenly treasures and having heavenly treasures forever. If you are to be born as human again, you will have these results;
1. Be reborn with access to practice Buddhism again.
2. You become more respectful and humble to the Triple Gem.
3. You will have bright beauliful eyes.
4. You will have the Divine eyes.
5. You would have bright complexion.
6. You body will have a radiance, a bright light.
7. You will gain wisdom and ready wit.
8. Will not be born in hells.
9. When you practice meditation you will attain dhamma within easily.
There are many results (benefits) of lighting the candle paying homage to the Buddha.
