Yes, transversal speed actually even decides if you hit or not :P
-
i cant really remember.. but the reason transversal speed reduces "accuracy" is because according to the game, the ships turrents can only rotate so fast. this mean certain long range high damage turrents arnt suitable for close range speed frigates, and close range weps arent powerful enough to hit distant things.
-
Even if your moving slow at a transversal angle to a ship firing at you - the shot shouldn't be 100% effective. Is this figured into the game? It seems angles are the only saving grace from a shot being 100% effective. Kinda like two ships at sea... shots are more effective at broadside than at angles with deflection and all. Got to admit though, still looks like a pretty kewl game.

they should move, but difficulty to hit due to movement really only matters when you have super fast small ships

I agree. Its just the English translation was longer and I needed the length to get everything in.
Besides its still Ralf Moeller singing it.

can anyone tell me what the most preferable pvp role is for a Meghatron

@ioventrate
It depends who you ask. My preferred fleet fit was 7 425mms 2 swnsor Boosters, tracking computer, 100MN MWD, 2 tracking enhancers, Mag stab, Adaptive nano membrane, damage control and 2 1600 plates. You would use a different setup for solo work. Though Gallante are pretty much the bottom of the pack for PVP these days. However the Mega is one of the most versatile ships out there. You can fit it to do any job on the field.

Why do the ships stop to shoot? Wouldn't it be more difficult to be hit if your moving?

They don't stop to shoot really, but when you come out of warp you are at a speed of 0 till you start moving again. Its true that moving laterally makes you harder to hit, yes.
