There are a couple place in the Bible that reference the springs of the oceans. It was believe for a long time however that there were no springs in the ocean, that the ocean was just runoff water from land. But it was discovered in 1977 that springs to exist, lots of them.
I can't take credit for it, I found it elsewhere, can't remember the original source though. Yes, it's really interesting how people of one religion like Christianity can call other religions silly, ignoring the fact that they have their own set of practices and mythology that would look just as weird to an outsider. They are programmed to think they are right and leave no room for doubt at all.
AbbeyNormal: Spot on definition. When you remove all the fluff that is what you are left with at the core. Some hardcore Christians I know (like my older brother) have become so brainwashed over the years that they think it all sounds reasonable and makes perfect sense. They can't understand why we don't believe it too.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...
