Earth Ship by Mahavishnu Orchestra - COVER / IMPROV

"Earth Ship" by Mahavishnu Orchestra from the "Visions of the Emerald Beyond" album (1974). This is a cover / improv by Julie - (ProgMom67). I admit anything by John McLaughlin is usually way over my head to figure out. I think my guitar playing sounds more like Pink Floyd / David Gilmour. Anyway, I hope you can still appreciate my attempt at something very challenging. I didn't worry much about note for note copying in the solos or the actual 18/4 time signature :) Yikes!

I played the following instruments in this video:
Lead guitar - Fender 72 Thinline Telecaster
Bass - Ibanez mikro (homemade fretless conversion)
Keyboard - Nord Electro
(All tracks were recorded w/ these instruments in GarageBand. The video was captured in Apple QuickTime and layered together in FinalCut Express on a MAC)

This is great!! Mahavishnu is one of the greatest groups of the '70 and among my favourites. You did a great job: it's not easy to tackle masterpieces like that. Compliments!
