I have attempted to create the Titanic story (compressing it down to 10 minutes) using screen captures from the computer game: Ship Simulator 2008.
While most of the scenes in this movie are screen captures from the game, some of the scenes come from the 1997 movie. This is because such scenes could not be captured from the game, such as the engine room sequence.
Also, I am aware that the ship does not break in half in this movie as it did in real life, again, this is due to the limitations of the game.

No copyright infringement intended for "Titanic" scenes and music from the 1997 movie.
This video is for entertainment purposes only.

This is a re-uploaded version of my previous video, which was unfortunately jittery due to an excessively low bit-rate.

  • Was the engine room scene in the movie filmed in part at the huge steam engine works museum in Kempton, England? Parts of this look very familiar, if not similar. Thanks so much for posting. This is something really grand about a large, steam engine in full operation. Some old technology, though outdated by today's standards, was really quite something. Thanks for posting.

  • @ramjetrabbit No, the engine room scenes were partially filmed aboard the WWII ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien. Smaller railings and catwalks were installed to make the engines appear bigger. The rest was achieved with camera angles and computer special effects to make the engines and boilers appear larger than they really were.

    Thanks for commenting :)

  • How do u make the ship sink? ive tried everything possible

  • @nonefour First, use Mission Editor, start with a "blank ocean".... then place your own icebergs where you want them, that's all I did. Then before you start the game, make sure Damage is enabled, then just ram the iceberg.

I believe you need at least 50% damage to the ship for it to sink. Simple to do if you're going fast enough, 10-15 knots is fine with the Titanic.

Basically to sink any vessel, just crash it into something solid :) but you need Damage enabled before the game :)

  • I don't know how to play, my ships can't accelerate too much LoL

  • @jpetrillo13 Have you tried a turbocharger? Joking :) ... most of the ships have slow acceleration, that's normal - after all its meant to be tens of thousands of tons you're trying to move :)

  • I did the math... only 706 people survived :(

  • weird the titanic started to sink from behind

  • ShipSim needs to get better at sinking sequences. like going down by the head, stern or side. rather than just the whole thing dipping parallel to the water

  • how do you find icebergs?

  • love it!!!

  • @PremiereDirector Hahahaaa you're right, mate! now i can see it, thanks...
