Let's see. The Manchurian Candidate is kind of a political movie, but I was actually surprised by how little the politics actually were. (All you have to understand is people in politics want power and money.) Anyway, the movie is about how these two men--Liev's character and Denzel Washington's character--have been planted with implants within their skin/mind so they can be controlled. The whole object of this was to get Raymond Shaw--Liev--to become President.

not sure about The Manchuiran Candidate, I haven't seen it myself but from what I could tell of the trailer LIev's character is trying to become President or something, ask Pianowoman13 :)
