I have fond memories of living on a farm years ago and there were a couple of red winged black birds and I loved hearing their song. It sounds kinda fancy.

I go to our local park to hear them. My advantage is I can leave the park when I don't want to hear them!

@SBfledgling I love to hear them! I think the reason for that is the fact that when I was a little girl, I would go and spend some time in the Summer at my Grandparents farm. Hearing the Red Winged Blackbird call brings back such sweet memories of those days!

That's a tri-colored blackbird, not a redwing

I believe this is the bi-colored form of the red-winged blackbird, common here in California. The call is right, too. Sibley's Guide to Birds, 1st ed. p.513.
