@fictiveaudio you are saying below that you cant understand why anyone would choose a golf over a ferrari, yet you would choose a modified datsun taxi over a ferrari? kind of hypocritical would'nt you say?
Fair play to you if thats your preference, but the ferrari and almost any supercar made is superior, overall, fact. if someone offered me the choice of either a 500+ bhp ferrari 458 or a 1000bhp skyline the ferrari would be my preference every time,

Maybe the golf was slightly quicker than the Ferrari but so what, anything with a vast amount of power will be, we should have seen the 1/4 mile times rather than just some footage of a crap driver in a 430.
Besides which, if it had been a proper race circuit, the ferrari would have made the fat golf look silly, at the end of the day, it all comes down to preference but the ferrari is still the better engineered car.especially with regard to its chassis and brakes.
