supperclub jealousy is the fourth album in the ninesins series.

supperclub jealousy surprises yet gives that distinct warm sound supperclub and the ninesins series is renowned for. This album, with art by Krijn van Noordwijk and music selected and mixed by Alan Luna, is the fourth album in the ninesins series.

In the ninesins series supperclub explores nine modern sins through music and art. For each album an international DJ is invited to select and mix the music, and an up and coming artist is asked to create a work of art. This results in nine controversial double albums and nine works of art each with a different sin as its theme. Of each work of art, a limited edition of ten original prints is available for sale.

This time supperclub Amsterdams Musical Director Alan Luna is the man in charge of the music. He brings us an eclectic selection of über-funky tracks by the likes of Fink, Mark Murphy, The Black Dog, Dakar, Henrik Schwarz and DJ Vadim. Alan wanted to combine tracks of all genres to end up with an overall raw, almost live feel..

For the second time the cover art is made by Dutch photographer Krijn van Noordwijk. The reactions on the artwork he made for supperclub addiction were so overwhelming that supperclub decided to ask him again. The model on the album cover is Dutch fashion model Jayneen. For this occasion Krijn did not go for a typical glamour approach but for a more idiosyncratic way of shooting. He asked her to think of something that would make her feel jealous. What you therefore see on this cover is genuine jealousy.

Jealousy is no more than feeling alone against smiling enemies

supperclub jealousy will be released by United Recordings on November 17th, 2008

About Alan Luna
Alan Luna was born in Haarlem, The Netherlands, in 1974. His intense love for house music started right at the end of the eighties when he produced his first ever mix tapes packed with the coolest U.S. house sounds around. The funny thing was that he put this tape together with two old tape decks and two screwdrivers and not with 2 turntables! After getting this first taste of mixing his music, he started playing for friends and family. In 1994 he started playing at parties and started to really move some crowds. Because of his eclectic but intensely pure style he instantly became popular with the more knowledgeable Amsterdam crowds.
Together with San Proper he founded the party organization Choque in 1999. They had their residency at club Mazzo, Amsterdam for over two years. Later they started throwing parties in different locations and this is something Choque still does today.

In 2000 he was asked to DJ at supperclub where he now is the Musical Director. He also holds a residency at the supperclub cruise and became involved in mixing and compiling the supperclub albums. Together with Mark den Hartog he produces under the name Tevlon. A brand new Tevlon track called Fade is included on supperclub jealousy.

For over ten years now Alan Luna has been doing what he likes to do best and it surely pays off because nowadays he is being booked worldwide. Alan plays events like HQ, Dance Valley, Impulz and 4 Elements, venues like Paradiso and Melkweg and cities like San Francisco, Tel Aviv, Istanbul, Moscow, Rome, Paris and many, many more.....
