The HX9V has finally arrived and I wanted to give all of you a quick look at a camera that I feel has a lot of potential. This camera is the successor to the HX5V and only builds on the firm foundation that it established. Enjoy!

Guys, I just bought this camera today and I love it. After investigating lot of camera's and finally I pinned down to HX100V and HX9V. But after looking at the picture quality and other features, then I found out Hx9V is best choice. Generally people will look at reviews and might think this camera image quality is not so good, but when I took couple of pictures and zoom on my LED TV and as well as on my monitor the image quality is awesome.

I almost went out and bought this, BUT!

No eye piece!

I absolutely hate looking through the LCD!

With a passion!

That's the deal breaker.

You cannot see as much detail holding the camera away from your eye.

i have this camera and i have a problem ...when i take a photo in low light and if i do not focus perfectly , some white elipsoids appair on the frame. i could not understand why ! my camera is new and there is no lens or sensor problem. in sunlight , there is no problem.. but this camera is not useful for close range or area photography

i got fucked over with the battery pack one.... the batery was shot and sony cant sent me a new one because its out dated..... im out of 200$ and dont have a working camera.

Worst money I have ever spent. On and off buttons so small. Taking pictures outside it's impossible to see whats showing on the camera screen. When holding camera to snap a picture you have your finger over the flash ! Wish I had my money back !

@luisonia1218: I guess it's the camera because i read quite some reviews. Get a 16GB class 10, 15Mb/sec SD card.. heard that works great with the video.

@luisonia1218 You might need to look at the format you're shooting in. If your bitrate is low, your footage will come out looking a little janky.
