The voices do sound similar. The car does actually sound more natural and more refined though.

Chrysler came out with the EVA system in 1983. Pretty ahead of its time.

And despite what others say, I think it is really neat. It will only go off when there is something wrong, and is not annoying. I do know the early EVAs were, as they went off constantly. For example, this car will only tell you your "door is ajar" or "please fasten your seat belts" only after the car is in drive and starts moving.
