If I can ask, where did you aquire the fish. I have been raising pirahnas for many years now and I would like to set up a large aquarium for a snake head. thanks..

@drokell I'm from the UK where Snakheads are legal to keep. If you're in the US, most states don't allow them because they can survive in the natural waterways and eat everything! If you've already kept piranhas, then maybe you would be able to keep them...

@dEsSiCaTa - this special gets to be 8 inches so he's not far off fully grown now. technically classed under the dwarf snakeheads, which are much more manageable (but don't like eachother much!)
@damafiafz - they are obligate air breathers, which is an evolutionary adaptation to living in oxygen deprived pools in Asia. They still use their gills, but only for carbon dioxide excretion.
glad you have all liked the video. he still lives on my desk, and hasn't grown in about 6months.
