So in my Intermediate Modern Dance class, we have to do a "creative project" to showcase at the end of the quarter. You could be in groups or do a solo. I decided on doing a solo. I dedicate this dance to my late grandfather who passed away when I was 2 years old.
Basically, I am playing him in this dance. It starts with him finding out that he's dead and a ghost (hence the white clothes). He is also saddened by the fact that he won't be there to guide and help me as I grow up. However, the change in the song is when he puts on the colored clothes. In a way, he put on a "skin" so he was reincarnated into a different person to watch over me.
He soon finds out that I am doing well on my own and is so proud and overjoyed that he decides to leave that "skin" and goes off to heaven knowing that I'll be fine even though he isn't physically there.
