Hi! I have the same camcorder but find the audio gets distorted at gigs, have you had the same issue?

Not at all!
It depends on how close you are to the speakers, and how equal the sound is in the room. The drums are usually what kill the microphone. I stood about 20ft away from the band and got some great sound! But obviously if the music was ridiculously loud and you're standing right next to the speaker, you're going to get alot of distortion. Hope this helps!
