Indigenous people possess important knowledge and traditions that have allowed them to sustainably live and make use of biological and genetic diversity within their natural environment for generations. By documenting this knowledge through an open-source database, and helping these communities maintain self-sufficiency we can assist in keeping these cultures alive.
I'm very touched by the story. I am doing alot of researching on my heritage and I would like to find more information on writing numbers and writing words with meaning in mi'kmaq. I searching to write 70.3 to be rewritten in symbols and numbers Mi'kmaq. can someone help me? Also, the word Bravory in Mi'kmaq that I cannot find. thank you
I Have never known and was Denied a Heritage that belongs to my heart and only learned this year, how I live and Learn and Teach my Children and Grand Children 8th one Yesterday, is these beliefs.
The Giant Eagle Head in the sky with all those things I've been seeing, the lightning bolt with my son Danny, for me, it's like everything is falling into place.
Bless You All and thank you for sharing something that already was dear to my heart and now I finally have understanding..
I would be interested in a Mi'kmaq language learning video.
