The pull cord on my toro push mower was not retracting all the way. I pulled it off and took up some of the slack on the pull cord to re-tension the spring.

  • Don't they always tell you not to let the starter rope snap back after you start the engine?

  • @ClassicTVMan81 My neighbor broke it so I'm not sure what he did to break it, I've never had a problem just letting go of the rope after it starts.

  • @truthseeker0183 Some of them it is made onto the top shroud, You may have to take the whole shroud off, should be a few bolts holding it on.
