I think everyone's got the reactions wrong. I don't think the celebs were laughing AT hammer at all. It's like Britain or America's got talent. When a great talent comes on that was not expected the judges laugh. But in reality they're just shocked.
I think they were just shocked Hammer was performing and it was a treat. My 2 cents

los wnes que actualmente son los iconos del rnb y el rap que estaban presente se dia en esa premiacion del 2005... jay-z ,black eyes peads, alicia keys, incluyendo al presentador que era P. diddy, noten que se recagaban de la risa por la presentacion Hammer...
esta volviendo una nostalgia que ver los hits de los 90, pero tal vez en el contexto de esa presentacion no fue 1 acierto

Everybody will remember Hammer, James Brown and Michael Jackson as the best dancers in music. Those fools laughing at him in this video don't have any respect. Jay z, and those gay ass rappers in there are a bunch of studio gangsters anyways.
