  • I showed this to my 9 year old son and asked where could he find it? I told him I have it on VHS. Maybe I can put it on DVD. Also had him look at original Transformers. He hasn't looked at the other Transformers show since!

  • @ladylum1 There was a DVD release in Germany that used some of my remasters, if you can find a DVD of that (which has both English and German dubs) that'd be your best bet. It was a legit release as well.

  • Yeah talk about feeling old. Kids do know of the cartoons we grew up with, on Cartoon Network. But all you here from kids today about them is "Lame, Stupid, Gay." and yet an animated SPONGE is cool????????? UHGG!!! Give me the old Saturday Morning Lineup of the 70's and early 80's. The last time I turned on the TV in Sat morning there were no cartoons at all. Just those dang Morphine Rangers. And Disney is no better with all their part 2, part 3 part 4 sequals to the classic movies.

  • Animation was at its peak in the 80's!!

now everyone's just trying to mimic Anime style for popularity reasons

don't get me wrong i love Anime as mucha s everyone else on this site, that's amazing in of itself, but for other shows to try to copy it; they just lose their passion for originality

    Thankyou ^_^

  • @CyndellWarrior

Hey, you gave everyone a good jumping point by making such an awesome statement.

  • @KeijiKG

That is exactly My point, although this post is old, i'm surprised i got so many responses for it

  • @CyndellWarrior

Peaked is an arguable statement when you're saying that to ToonZone and Cartoon Brew, much less John K. However I understand your point. The market was open for just about anything, we were even willing to dub cartoons from other countries (besides Japan) openly. Hell DISNEY Channel was even willing to show us Unico and Asterix. That shows how much enlightened the 80s and early 90s were for showing cartoons. I'm not saying that out of nostalgia either.

  • I guess I from a different generation then. I grew up when Saturday mornings were PACKED with toons from 6 am till 12 on all 4 major networks. And yeah I as a Sid and Marty Croft fan as well.

I am a person that doesn't care for sequals unless the movie is designed for sequals. I drew the line when Disney started adding their own stories to classics like Cinderella & Peter Pan. The worst had to have been the Tinkerbell movie.

Guess I am an 32 yo fuddy duddy.
