From the abrupt and painful end of the Great War to the appointment of Hitler as Chancellor of Germany, this volume illustrates how desperation coupled with an inherent dislike of "non-Germans" culminated in the birth of Nazi rule.

You bring up a good point. Antisemitism was not a new concept, especially during the early 20th Century. Yet I think the reason why the Holocaust stands out so much is because it was so industrialized, inhuman, and efficient. Also the fact that this was racial antisemitism makes it more rigid because, unlike religious antisemitism, you cannot change your heritage or ethnicity.

Anyone who denies the Holocaust is the one living in a delusion! Once the Allied forces began finding the death camps, the evidence was clear. You can't do the Big Lie thing on thousands of soldiers who didn't know it was even happening in the first place! Oh, and the Nazis didn't only target Jews, but also Gays, Lesbians and anyone else who didn't fit in...just the biggest targets were Jews. I'm not Jewish but I stand by the historical FACTS.
