BC HRMA & BCIT Host 2nd Annual World Cafe

For the second year running, BC HRMA took HR to school with the World Cafe at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT), Burnaby Campus. On Wednesday, March 30, 2011, BC HRMA joined forces with BCIT to present an evening of advanced HR know-how and 'real-life' social networking. Facilitated by Capilano University's Kathryn Taft the evening drew over 150 students from across the Lower Mainland.

With 30 HR industry specialists gathered for a night of rotating roundtable discussion, the event threw a dynamic spotlight on the profession. With a welcoming address from Robin Hemmingson, dean of business, BCIT and outstanding efforts on behalf of volunteers and staff alike, the night flowed seamlessly: buoyed by professionalism, meaningful conversation and common goals.
