Twisted nonsense. ANYONE familiar with the issue knows Axelrod is talking about turning back the egregious Citizens United decision which declared corporations are people and entitled to free speech to the extent they can dedicate UNLIMITED amounts of money to political advocacy, thus allowing the establishment of SuperPACs which can then obtain unlimited, UNACCOUNTABLE donations and use them for candidates they favor. McConnell even opposes legislation requiring transparency in donations.

Why are corporations, which are made up of people with opinions, less entitled than unions, which are made up of people with opinions, to give "unlimited" spending to elections? How many of those troops that stormed the beaches of Normandy or Iwo, or Okinawa had worked for non union corporations before they died on those beaches?

Did you know that the American Future Fund (which made this video) was started by energy multi-millionaire Bruce Rastetter who claims to be a conservative, while supporting federal Ethanol subsidies as his top issue? Did you know that his company, Hawkeye Energy Holding, receives a massive federal ethanol subsidy? Did you know that American Future Fund targets these attack ads against any politician who opposes this corporate welfare? Rastetter can't hide behind the 1st Amendment.

It's great to know all those people who fought and died in wars - all sacrificed their lives in an effort to allow huge corporations to be recognized as people. They put their lives on the line so billionaires could flood politics with money - forever corrupting any semblance that this country actually gives a damn about the will of the majority. The Constitution of the USA gives we the people freedoms and rights no other nation on earth enjoys. Shall we allow it to be eroded piecemeal by leaders who believe that freedom and choice belong to the few and not the many. I say over my dead body.
