What a difference between him and Furlanetto, who swallows his vowels and cannot project that "burst of air" the way Ghiaurov does. Ghiaurov's diction is perfect, and the tone is not spread like Furlanetto. He is one of the greats and is sorely missed. Although we do have René Pappe, who is none too shabby himself!
