Noah takes us to Nvision 2008 in San Jose to get an up-close look at Nvidia's Tegra system on a chip platform for mobile devices. The first Tegra smartphones should be out in mid-2009. This demo makes 'em worth waiting for - for starters, Tegra sports 720p HDTV capture and playback and a slick 3D user interface. Check it out.

  • Nvidia is a hardware company. 1080p most certainly is not the highest resolution for a screen even if you're not using an iMac. 1080p is the highest consumer resolution in films but that won't increase if you use a screen with a higher resolution. Please read up on things if you're gonna be a cocky cunt. BTW 1080p on 8 gigs is extremely compressed. Depending on the length of the film and the quality of the transfer, it could easily eat up 50 gigs.

  • lol wich year are you 2000? i dont talk with monkeys like you so utsf up the shut fuck

  • The T-mobile G2x has something of tegra in it. Although nothing like that xP.

  • wich movie is that?

  • @theshiningeagle if you think that it is so easy to fit something that requires alot of power into a small space then you should do it yourself, asshole

if you think your so fucking good then go start a company

  • Motorola Atrix has this tech. I just got one, and so far it IS pretty great.

  • WHat some people dont understand is that they have to make adjustments to fit a mobile device. Give these guys a break. Well have these new phones soon

  • liers liers liers i was waiting 3 years for tegra

go to hell nvidia ur a lier after all the love ive given to ur products

  • yaaawn!...it's now 2011... and the first phone that uses that chip is coming from... LG?! :'-( It seems that nvidia guys were a bit overzealous or the hardware companies think that there are just too few geeky people in the world that would buy such a phone (unfortunately) :((

  • These companies take us for morons. They have this tech and they are selling all this shit we have been seeing in 2 years. They want to extract every single possible cent out of our pockets. This is the nature of the money. As long as people still buy all those shitty stuff while knowing these kinds of tech exist, these companies send out all this crap without bothering to give poeple the latest tech. swindlers !

  • Such a bad liar, were in 2010 2yrs later and what do we have? This is what the present phones sould have, amazing what ever happened? It looks like an amazin device if only Apple tooked notes on this or nvidia partnered with Apple to make an amzing device, imagine the grafics the new iphone would have? would make Android phones look old
