Tyres are not a problem, I don't really drive the car on public roads, or drive it at all for that matter. I gotta admit it's kind of dangerous, the standard brakes are not up the the task.

how much was the swap total? i was thinking about doing this when i get a datsun z

I'd guess around $3500, including $2500 for the half cut.

Don't forget I did this swap in my shed.

For a workshop to do the swap it'd say about 7-10k

souds like a 60's cosworth F1

Nothing special really. Original log style manifolds back to separate 450mm resonators, Joins into single holden catalytic converter, then into two straight through mufflers.

All pipe work is 2 + 1/4 exhaust.

are the stright through mufflers glass packed or just chambered?

I just kept adding mufflers and resonators until it was quiet at idle, well quite enough so I can drive it around with out anyone knowing that it's got a V8 under the bonnet

Gotta love a small car with big power! I'm building an Ac Cobra with 1uzfe. Semi-drivable and it lights up the tyres pretty easy!! Gotta watch that throttle. Get you into trouble!!
