  • Bakelite is better than wood. Just ask SL/HPF.

  • My 1911 came with plastic and was promptly replaced with wood. The Browning ones were very retro with molded in ribs and the Browning monogram in an oval. I didn't want Browning stuff on my Bauer.

  • Paintank, remember what Patton said about pearl-handled pistols.

  • LMAO I know right! But the other option was a set of bakelite Browning grips because the wooden originals were cracked. These fit nicely and whatever...I have no excuse. You're right.

    Dammit.

  • Bauer 25s are stainless steel copies of the Baby Browning 25. Mine is a decent little pistol and extremely tiny.

  • Is Bauer an American made gun?

I remember this gun in 1974 and it cost about $100. Beautiful gun. I would still prefer to have the Baretta Model 20 .25 that is double action and better made.

  • It was made in Fraser, Michigan. This pistol is a great deal smaller than the Beretta. It is very loud and rarely jams when it's clean.

  • how many bullets does each clip hold?

  • How much would it be to fix mine? Something with the magazine latch mechanism went wrong and the latch is loose. And where can I buy magazines?

  • Thanks for posting this video. I just picked up the EXACT same Bauer as yours. Including the "ivory" grips! lol You really cant go wrong with owning one of these beautiful guns. AM

  • Excellent vid came in very handy

  • I have one and love it however my barrel does not come out of the slide. Were some of these made to not come out? The grooves seem to big to slide out of the front. Please help!

  • Thank you for uploading this video. I've had my Bauer .25 on my NY State permit for over 25 years. I usually conceal carry an H and K 40 but can't conceal it in the summer. Two summers ago was with my wife when two apparent miscreants approached. I rested my right hand in a non threatening way on my back pocket where the Bauer resided.. Immediately the lead miscreant apologized for interrupting us and they scooted. So did we.

  • Thank You! great video. I would not have been able to figure this one out without your video.

  • I cannot remove the barrel from the slide for the life of me. It's as if the raised part of the barrel (where the grooves are) is too big. Anyone else have or know about this problem?

  • @DemonofUnx3 I know what you're talking about, try pulling the slide back, keeping tension on it then turn the barrel. i think some have a little stop near the ejection opening to keep barrel from turning unless you hold the slide all the way back.
