@SOBE702 Actually Brad Kern said they intended to make Chris Piper and Leo's son from the future and it was purely coincidental that Holly got pregnant at that time.

@TheCharmedgirl3 Just taking a guess.Chris character was written in because Holly was pregnant at the time. Further more it's the future so technically they don't know what's going to happen. It was said that in Hyde School Reunion Piper doesn't die until he is born. Apparently it happens when he is 15. Now take note when the sisters went back in to the future to save Phoebe, Piper had a daughter giving that somewhere the future had changed

For everyone saying she should've used the ring to save Prue need to wakeup. As Grams once told Piper, she could not see Prue so that she can go on with her life and her destiny as part of the new Charmed Ones. Prue died because simply it was her time to go (series speaking). It was her destiny unfortunately, and it was Paige's destiny to reconstitute "The Power of 3" after she passed away.
