13 city's - Episode 2 - Flevoland , Lelystad

Episode 2 of the series , this is the youngest province of Holland it's only about 50 years old and all of this land is 5 meters below sea level. Pumps keep the land dry and regulate the water flow. Because all is man made and young there are not that much sights to see , a difficult episode for me LOL

@RedanWhiteRebel Yes it was hot , but not that nice hot weather it was more that damp/moist heat. The rebuild of the Batavia and seven provinces was nice indeed. Thanks for your comment.

@TheMotorick No the pumps work on diesel (there are some that work on electric) and there are lot's of them in the whole polder. Also the land is now behind a big dike , I'll show the dike that is 30km long in a future vid with my Kawasaki (have to ride the highway) So it's safe to be there and the chance of flooding is minimum.

Enjoyed the video. What would happen if there was a power outage? I assume the pumps wouldn't work and the land would flood.
