4/6/08, George Mason University Harris Theatre. Performed by the GMU Saxophone Quartet, directed by Rick Parrell.
It has been more than sixty‐five years since Aaron Copland composed
one of his most enduring and rhythmically exciting works, the Four
Dance Episodes from the Ballet "Rodeo." The suite was created some years
after the 1942 production for the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo, choreographed
by Agnes DeMille. The saxophone quartet version closely follows
the piano score, created by Copland. The Hoedown is the final exciting
dance in the sequence.
absolutely love this, heard it on a classical radio station and had to look it up somewhere!

wow! this is awesome! really well played. it sounds very technical. and they stayed together really well. :) great job, thanks for uploading.

This arrangement lacks the excitement and boundless vitality found in the orchestral arrangement. While the saxophones played great, technically, I'm not feeling the hoe-down.

We played Four Dance Episodes for our marching band show in 2007.
We were one point away from making finals.
I love this song thanks for adding it!
