I think it's great that you can separate the two issues. You love John McCain because of what he's done for his country, but you wouldn't vote for him because of what he's done in politics.

Steve Schmitt (McCain's campaign manager) should be shamed for his absolute bungling of Palin. Keeping her hidden two weeks after her RNC speech and then the two "ambush" interviews (Couric/Gibson) was such a bonehead thing to do. And McCain suspension of the campaign was another fumble.

Oh...did you get a chance to look up her book banning in the privately owned bookstore as well?

I'm curious why more conservatives didn't jump on her shit for this. Forcing a store on what to carry doesn's seem very free market to me. If anything, you would expect these people to "vote with your dollar" instead of these forced protests and book removal. Not to mention private bookstore has freedoms as well.

The whole conservative gay bigotry is a low point in the party.

My reply was she gave some really dumb answers on Katie Couric. Yes, I expect a VP to know about Supreme Court decisions. I expect most people of average intelligence to name a newspaper they read.

Also... that was ONE incident. Her church tried to remove a book from a PRIVATE BOOKSTORE. Google Palin and the book "Pastor Iam Gay".
