@MisterHuskey, thanks for the heads up! Hopefully someone back home can TiVo it. I asked about on the Channel 5 Facebook. It would be nice if they could post a link to it.

@PepsterP1 I'm right there with you. I was born in 1969 (so I was 5 when it first aired). It's funny how something so simple like this video can have a lifelong affect on ones psyche. When you hear it come on you just have to stop whatever you are doing and watch it. Brings back those wonderful childhood Christmas memories and you almost feel like you're a kid again back in the 70's viewing it for the first time. If that makes any sense....lol :)

@rarahygirl They aired the commercial you speak of tonight. I was shocked to see it. It has been decades since I last saw it. At the end of the commercial it still shows the old lighted Christmas tree with the words "Seasons Greetings from Channel 5." Total classic! Now I just need to see the one with the Nutcracker soldier in it. :)

I was born in 1973, and I have seen this commercial every year of my life! I risk breaking my leg or my neck rushing to the nearest TV everytime I hear the song! Thank you so much for finding this! It is so precious, it never gets old. I hope Channel 5 will play this for many more years to come. This is how I know it's Christmastime.

I just saw this on channel 5 tonight! Yay!

All is well in the world whenever I see this. It so warms my heart!

@rarahgirl, yes the music you're referring to is definitely "Once in Royal David's City". A favorite of mine, no doubt due to that commercial that you are referring to.

Love this! I also loved the promo of Merry Christmas in different languages. I believe that at least part of the music was a variation of Once In Royal David's City.

@dn196842 I remember those very fondly, I could remember the name of the music they used too. Don't suppose you know if you could find that one here ?
