Utterly amazing, I can think of no better word for that. Coordinating the throttles between all those engines must have been tough, I bet there was some serious drawbar pull between a few of those locomotives!

Anyone want to knock the Polish people now? Not me. We couldn't get 16 people to work on one Steamer, let alone resurrect 16 dead ones like they did.

Remember when the SP articulateds were built, was before many of the high tech metals of today. At the time also, there were still many wood frame cabooses around (Although don't remember seeing any in the Pentrex cideo on the SP Articulateds).
I am quite familiar with the PRR, as a kid, lived within block of the ERIE which ran behind the elementary school I attended before moving to Texas.

@Howard1939 Actually, on many railroads, the caboose was placed behind the helper locomotives due to safety issues. PRR got around this by special caboose designs, in particular the N5 which had a specially built and hardened structure and "collision" bars in the form of large I beams on each end of the car.

nice to see other countries represented there aswell. Especially the UK. Even though 5521 is a small engine, its the idea of a british sea side steam train
