I detail how to do the first 14 days of Induction. Learn from my mistake; don't start off on the wrong foot. It is combination of the rules of Induction from almost everywhere and my perspective on how to be successful. Having a successful Induction phase of Atkins is so much more than just losing weight. It is about getting your eating under your control again, getting your blood glucose levels stabilized, starting to learn new healthy habits with food, and finally to experience the magic of ketosis to the person needing to lose weight. Take the time to learn how to do it right.

To get you started here are some links:

  • You are a life saver....literally!

  • @MeltonSI061086 I am just happy I could help!

  • My co-worker did Atkin's diet. She just ate most protein, and she lost weight. The only challenge was craving for sweets.

  • @pnoyguitar I would kindly suggest that your coworker needs to refresh herself on what the Atkins diet actually is. It is not a mostly protein diet. It is actually moderate or standard protein, but rather high fat diet. If you deprive yourself of the fat, you are not seeing the true effect of the diet.

The second point about ketoacidosis is simply wrong as you enter ketosis not ketoacidosis. As for weakness or fatigue, that only exists at most for the first 2-3 weeks.

  • ok u r getting me motivated!!!

  • I'm having a hard time finding: NO sugar/nitrate/syrups/etc bacon, no sugar ham, no sugar dressings, no sugar mayonnaise, no sugar spaghetti sauces IS it ok to use a product such as bacon that has sugar in it but 0 carbs still?

  • @bowulf I guess our body goes through transformation. I am doing the atkin's diet as well. It's hard, but I try to eat less carbs. I'm Asian, so it's really hard to eat without rice. =D

  • @pnoyguitar After the first 2-3 weeks, I had more energy than ever before, and I lift more weight than ever before and also have run multiple marathons now as well. Needless to say, any weakness or fatigue has long past.
