Kate Reid is a phenomenal actress. It would have been interesting to see Kim Stanley's interpretation of this.

Albee, I suspect.,wrote the alcholism part from his own experience and that of his partner in the 1960's, who died in Cape Cod while drunk. This is one of the better narratives of alcohism.

I remember the visit to Albees loft in nineties.I have a vhs tape of the whole visit.He was very kind and made us tea.Lovely visit.

A lot of critics hated this movie, calling it lifeless and boring.

I find it to be compelling -- If for nothing else, I watch it for the great performances.
