Jerry Goldsmith - Archive Interview (entire)

Composer Jerry Goldsmith talked about his early years at CBS where he began as a typist in the music department. He described his transition to television with the "live" dramatic anthology series Climax! He also discussed working on the last two seasons of the prestigious CBS anthology series Playhouse 90. Additionally, he talked about his continued work in television (at Revue Studios, Lorimar Studios, and elsewhere), where he worked on other filmed series, television movies, and television miniseries.

Great to hear him talk about the early days of live television. Most of the interview did focus on his TV work, from the 50's thru Star Trek. Really love this piece, done less than two years before he passed on. What a talented human being!
