  • i thought the tallest point of an Asian elephant was the forehead, so if we measure the height, shouldn't we take the hight to its forehead ?

  • @rhoghost The term "shoulder height" is the generic term used to determine the height of an animal's body, which is usually measured from withers to ground.

    So to answer your question, the highest point on an elephant's body is to the "withers".

    The withers is usually the highest part of an animal's back, lying at the base of the neck above the shoulders.
