This is some of the first movements of steam on the Nantmawr Branch in over 40 years, The loco is backing down on to the brake van in readiness of its first trip. (The now "Tanat Valley Light Railway") Near Oswestry have been working tirelessly to re open this small section of line over the last few years.. the engine in question is Beyer Peacock Steam locomotive No 1827 and will be running trips on the TVLR Saturdays and Sundays up to and including the first weekend in December. For more info see www.osrail.co.uk for more information on the days events.
