we just got a new engine in my diesel class, and we too the head off, it droped all 4 valves, and the entire skirt broke off into the oil pan, the piston was wedged sideways inside the cylinder

man that things turnin some rpms! i would imagine your runnin at least a 2.8 inducer turbo or bigger
