@123abcpa If it's FWD based than it's an All-wheel drive setup... If it's 4x4 it has a locking rear differential.. And you can turn it on and off unlike AWD...

@daalhoffarm, Right, i was wondering if it has a FWD base in it with a PTO going to the rear wheels like the ford escape, toyota rav4, nissan murano. honda pilot ect.... there all 4X4 but are based on FWD platfourms, do you know if the freelander is also set up like this?
