@decaDBZ I did not make a sweeping statement. I know there are exceptions, and I said virtually impossible. I also never said that you need to squat to sprint fast. In fact, that's not what I was saying at all

@smsprints3 lol don't make sweeping statements dude. U don't NEED to squat to sprint fast, it just helps make u faster. Kim Collins doesn't touch weights... does he sprint under 11 seconds?;)
Plus there are lifts far better than squats in terms of functional development, deadlifts for example, or barbell hip thrusts...

i tried to drag weights in the gymnasium and they got real mad real fast

your dad outside timing you with a stopwatch for 80 meters doesn't count.
prove it with results or you're lying like 99% of people on here.

If you look on athletic.net and the top times for the 100, you will see that hundreds of high schoolers run in that range.

Nope. If you don't squat, it's virtually impossible to run much even under 11 seconds without pulling a muscle (unless your body is perfectly proportioned, which is really rare).
There's a reason why any good sprinter does squats and dead lifts a couple times a week year round. It's more for injury prevention than actually getting faster, but without getting stronger, you're setting yourself up for failure.
