Well this was the year he had the stroke. This was probably one of his last performances, ever. Even till the near end, Joe was hammering out the solos.
say what you will about the intro bass solo, but that groove he had for the tune was beyond groovy. That intro line at 1:25 in nothing short of genius...the kind of thing that when you hear it, you want to learn to play bass JUST so that you can play a line that swings like that

@SaxHero I know what you mean, 4:15 doesn't have the same amount of oomph that it usually does when I've heard him play in the past.

This is sad for me to watch and hard for me to listen to because Joe was in such poor health by this point.
