  • As a native person who was adopted out, it's been a life long struggle and journey to reclaim my heritage. As someone who was removed, and with the knowledge that the adopting out of Native kids was/is a HUGE problem, I have felt the impact of cultural appropriation and have seen & felt how it feeds into the long history of genocide in this country. Though there are other HUGE problems within the Native community, this is also a big one which should be addressed.
