I was raised in the Catholic church and went to Catholic school, which means I played the 'religion' game for years. The first time I walked into a small country independent fundamentalist Baptist church and heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached directly from the King James Bible my life was changed forever. I went forward at altar call and accepted Jesus into my life. I have NEVER regretted it. Jesus Christ changes lives!

Was raised in church all my life and taught right from wrong. Lost my way as a teen with too much drinking, sex and cocaine. Nearly killed myself on coke one night and that's when I went to God and asked him to let me live through the night. Told him I didn't want to be an addict anymore. God let me live through that night.

Went to church next morning and this is the first hymn we sang. Read the words with an open heart and finally understood what Christ did for me. Been free of drugs since.

Someone made nasty vulgar comments on here and there is no room for that. Some people need to learn how to have some respect. They need Jesus. I love this song, it brings back memories as a kid growing up in Church in GA .

I do not feel being raised in the Catholic Church is playing a 'religious game.' The Catholic Church absolutely 'preaches' the Gospel of Jesus Christ, though the Holy Spirit. It all has to do with the 'expression' one chooses to Praise and Glorify God. One's Foundation in the Catholic Church is not meant to be an 'end all.' It does offer the freedom to Love God and express that Love however your heart is lead.
