@wowoak I wouldn't say odd, but we do care much more about those who came before us than the rest of the country seems to. The South breeds a special type of America.

@darthroden It is very odd that the South cares more about their heroes, even though we lost, and the North doesn't really acknowledge theirs. One more reason to be so proud and blessed to be born and raised in the South.

i would clean them for free but i would need to renew my passport and find the money to get to the states and some were to stay

@darthroden sadly it's a sick reality, many were buried in mass unmarked graves, at least these people get their own burial plots. I am currently working on a cemetery project to prevent anything like this from happening.

I am appalled that the graves of Civil War soldiers (and those of Spanish American and WWI Veterans also) should be neglected like this!
I am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and I would like to say that even if many of those Union men were my ancestor's enemies, that it is a disgrace for ANY US Veterans grave to be left to deteriorate like this!
Even we who honor our Civil War ancestors here in the South do not neglect Confederate graves, nor that of their Union opponents.
