it's called supply and demand. it's not only in your civics and economy books in in your history books. the idea of it is, the less you have of a good thing that everyone wants the more it's worth. the more you have of something good or bad, the less it's worth. becausse the demand of that thing is no longer there if everyone has it.

@MeatLoafEnchilada Not always... Compare Disney Dollars or monopoly money to US Dollars. It's about Confidence in the currency and government, and confidence in what it's worth. The individuals that trade set the price based on their own beliefs.
