Training Day 2:

This is the second day towards becoming a lethal finisher.

Drill 1 - Stop and Shoot (Medium).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2e-I-tgpF4
Same drill we ended on yesterday.

Move, receive and shoot. Simple, right? Remember to angle your control and make sure your standing foot is pointing in the direction you want the ball to end up.

Drill 2 Direct Shot He shoots, he scores. He does if he keeps his body position over the ball.

Test yourself and perfect your technique. Will you measure up in the Torres challenge on Friday?

  • You really need the right club to demo this on behalf of Nike - you could see the same drill in another country but it wouldn't be the same because it wouldn't actually focus on technique enough. In countries like Italy, Spain, Brazil you see this focus in training - on things like "First touch, balance, position of your body to the ball, body leaning well forward, ball hit with the laces..." And you see players do these drills with something callled "style". But in other countries, well...
