Chazot in his previous state of mind...I had the fortune to ride and train world class horses in three day event and jumping. Superior athletes all come with difficulties and very high spirit. They must have a lot of guts to pull a rider out of a triple Grand Prix combination or a difficult question in thee day event. Before been properly guided, their spirit might be difficult to deal with as is Chazot's spirit. Each great horse needs a rider willing to deal with the horse's spirit, or difficult morphology, or bad memories. When Margit Otto Crepin purchased Corlandus, all top dressage riders knew about Corlandus' outstanding potential. Margit was the only one who has the gut to deal with his spirit and the intelligence to adjust her training approach to the horse's complicated morphology. He had sickle hocks. They won the silver medal at the 1988 Seoul Dressage Olympics. Jean Luc Cornille

  • My true respect for this trainers courage and competence - a most valueable video! But it would be very interesting to learn how well the reeducation of the horse went and in what state the horse is now. Could we get an update? Thanks for sharing this with us!

  • i seriously applaud this man. you don't see too many people out in the world handling rearing horses that at any second could come crashing down at their head. you can clearly see this man knows what he is doing and notice he doesn't get mad at the horse. he tries to reinsure it and tell him that "hey i'll let you go and do your thing" kind of like a compromise. he doesn't smack the horse or yell at it or yank on the reins. i have much to learn from this man. thank youfor the video!

  • We need more calm, knowing equine trainers in the world like you.
