Greenspan totally turned away from Sanders' question/point and went on a different tangent of how 'people flock to the US.' Greenspan, like Bernanke, is a coward and a liar. I am glad Sanders said 'that is an incredible answer,' there in the end, sarcastic, but to the point. Greenspan couldn't answer the question (not that I expected him to) at least somewhat honestly. You don't have to be a Democrat, Republican or Independent to see what these people are doing is hurting the country.

Greenspan was in way too long and he had way too much power....he and his deregulating demons on the SEC are the major cause of this meltdown.

Why didn't Alan Greenspan just say "no I don't give a shit about the middle class?" That's a much shorter answer. And yes, we do have a higher standard of living than Scandinavians, as long as you exclude the free education, dental care, health care, etc., that they receive as a right, as well as the negative effects of so many Americans experience from being denied those services due to their financial status.

@BarrySlisk Sure the US has more money...that is printed out of thin air and largely in the hands of corporations. This is not what Senator Sanders stated. He stated a higher standard of living which we (99% of America) do not have as a result of extreme distribution of wealth to the corporations and millionaires.
